1976 Kawasaki KZ900A4

1976 Kawasaki KZ900A4 Engine No. Z1E-[removed phone] and Frame No Z1F-[removed phone]. This bike was made very early ([removed phone]) in the first production run for the KZ900?s at the Lincoln, NE assembly plant. The bike was totally restored in 2013. It has just over 33,000 original miles with about 500 miles put on since the restoration. It starts, runs and handles as good as it looks. Everything on this bike has been gone through. Starting with the frame, it was blasted and power coated a satin black and very closely matches the original sheen. Several of the other black painted pieces received the same treatment like the tach and speedo shells, side stand, center stand, triple tree, battery box, gauge mounts, etc. The engine was completely disassembled and rebuilt. The cases and any other bare cast aluminum parts were vaporblasted. The head was rebuilt and finished by Joe Hooper at Pit Stop Performance. The cylinder bores were honed by a local machine shop and the piston rings were replaced. Cam chain and guides were replaced. When needed zinc plated hardware was re-plated at a local industrial plater and all of the chrome, except the rims and turn signals were re-plated. The speedo and tach were rebuilt by Z-Resto and the carbs by WiredGeorge Motorcycle Carbs. The tank, tail and side covers were painted by Young Pon, in Washington State using the proper color paint with House of Kolors clearcoat. All gaskets, seals, fluids, tubes, tires, steering and wheel bearings, shocks, brake pads and shoes, seat cover/pan, chains, wiring harnesses, etc were replaced.
